Scotts Valley, ca 95066 | | Click here to map directions | | Details: The Worldly Association of Varietal Evaluation (henceforth known as the WAVE wine group): meets Tuesdays, once per month, 6:30PM at the Mint Winebar. Featuring different varietals each month…and of course…a Mystery Wine to guess about! Seating is limited with a maximum of 14 people. Admission is determined by the featured varietal, and includes a cheese selection served with bread.
We request that you pay in advance to secure your spot at the tasting.
The purpose of our WAVE tasting group is to take a specific grape varietal and feature examples from classic (and maybe not-so-classic!) winegrowing regions, tasting them side by side for purposes of comparison and evaluation. We will discuss the specifics and unique qualities of each to try to better understand why they taste the way they do, as well as try to help define our personal preferences. We will also be offering all wines from the tasting for purchase at a special discount Each course will last about 75-90 minutes.
